Since 2006, DP has been successfully shaping the development of biomass to energy in China and worldwide. With over 70 references throughout China, DP is continuing to advance its technology and to pioneer new solutions in the market. New products are being introduced in 2018, and a number of contracts have already been signed. Amongst these is a contract with NBE Pizhou to implement DP’s Advanced Automation solution to optimize the efficiency of the existing 30MW plant. Pizhou has been operating since October 2015 and for the last 2 years has been the top operating plant within NBE.
It is believed that overall performance could be further improved through the use of automation, and DP’s Advanced Automation solution with patented software will provide 100% automatic operation of the boiler, including automation of the fuel feeding system; the internal control of the boiler system and automatic monitoring. The optimization package includes the full training of operational personnel in the utilization and interpretation of the automated diagnostics.

DP’s Advanced Automation has been highly successful in the Mahachai Coconut biomass power plant (Thailand) where availability has reached 7,000 hours . In operation since April 2016, Mahachai is the first biomass power plant specifically designed for the simultaneous combustion of all forms of coconut waste (husk, shell, bunch, fronds, leaves, trunk) as well as “conventional” biomass such as wood residues and rice husk.
