Conversion projects often result in a more cost effective means of producing renewable heat and power. DP enables power plant operators to maintain the highest possible efficiencies by replacing or adding new or evolved technologies to old or outdated assemblies.
DP is one of the few companies in the world with true capabilities in undertaking complex conversion projects such as converting coal power plants to use 100% waste biomass fuels such as agricultural residues and industrial waste.
Due to our focus on biomass and waste fuels, we are able to leverage extensive experience and expertise in handling such fuels. The decisions taken in design alteration, material selection and component retrofits are extremely important in ensuring the reliability, efficiency and ultimately the longevity of the plant.
DP CleanTech is currently developing a coal conversion project for TPK who are building Thailand’s largest bioethanol plant (produces 1 million litres of bioethanol per day); TPK needed to explore ways to power this facility. DP CleanTech offered a solution – to convert a nearby 225 tph coal-fired boiler to run on waste produced from the bioethanol plant as well as other locally sourced waste products from the forestry and paper industry.
