DPCT Mengcheng project has successfully been connected to the power grid

DPCT Mengcheng biomass energy project has successfully been connected to the power grid on July 24th, 2015. This milestone marks that the Mengcheng biomass power plant has begun delivering green energy.

Mengcheng project, located in Anhui, China, is an NBE group project, and is the group’s 36th biomass project investment in China since 2006. All NBE biomass projects utilize DP CleanTech’s “High Pressure, High Temperature Vibrating Grate” biomass solution. 34 plants are currently in operation, another 4 are under construction.

This project covers an area of approximately 16.67 hectares, with 1 x 130tph boiler and 1 x 30MW turbine. The design fuel is waste from agricultural straw (corn, wheat) with an annual fuel consumption of 300,000 tons.

Founded in 2004, DP CleanTech designs, engineers, manufactures and commissions biomass and waste to energy power plants, providing complete solutions for turning waste materials into clean energy. DP CleanTech’s high pressure, high temperature technology was originally developed in Denmark and is behind over 80 biomass power plants around the world. Today, DP CleanTech is recognized as a world leader in the biomass clean energy field with a strong presence in both Europe and Asia and a growing presence in Africa and South America. DP CleanTech built the first biomass power plant in China and is responsible for over 30% of the biomass power plants operating in China today.
