DP recently signed a collaboration agreement with Reunion Engineering SC LTDA, a Brazilian engineering and consultancy company specialising in all aspects of the sugar industry. The agreement enables DP technology to be more effectively marketed in the Brazilian market and coincides with changes being made in Brazilian regulatory policy that are expected to facilitate growth in renewable energy sources. The government has recognised that alternative energy sources are needed to meet a projected 46% increase in energy demand by 2026, and we are confident that DP’s biomass technology and combustion expertise combined with the local knowledge, resources and execution capabilities of Reunion will be a compelling proposition in this market.
