DP CleanTech in Europe – announcement of new company structure

Following the December 2012 change in ownership of DP CleanTech Group Ltd, the Directors of the Group have taken the step of restructuring the European organisation.  Specifically, the owners took the decision to put the Tonder manufacturing operations (DP CleanTech Europe A/S) in Denmark into receivership in February 2013.

Simon Parker, the majority owner and CEO of DP CleanTech Group stated “it has been a very challenging couple of years in the European clean energy market which necessitated us making some difficult decisions to reduce costs and remain competitive. We have now concluded an orderly restructuring to ensure sustainability and profitability and I am delighted to report a return to profit in the first quarter of 2013.   After a review of our global capabilities and commitments, we have realigned the organization around core engineering skills in Denmark to form the cornerstone of our strategy to build a global engineering platform.”

The new company DP CleanTech Engineering Services, located in Copenhagen, was launched on 2 April 2013.  The Engineering Services team will work seamlessly with DP CleanTech’s offices in 7 countries to provide engineering support, and research and development for global clients - throughout all stages of a project.  DP CleanTech is also continuing to grow its service business, and to systematically develop its global supply chain and execution capabilities to ensure that it remains a leader in delivering highly competitive products and world class quality solutions to the biomass industry.
