The signing of a further 3 contracts at the end of December 2017 brings the longstanding relationship between DP CleanTech and Everbright International even closer, raising the total number of DP references from Everbright in China to 15. All projects are equipped with DP’s patented HTHP water cooled vibrating grate multi-fuel solution.
Since 2011, the Chinese government has committed to improving air quality nationwide; with the implementation of policies and incentives to shut down small, inefficient and highly polluting coal fired power plants; and to specifically encourage the construction of biomass CHP projects. The clear and public commitment has given developers and investors the confidence to embrace high performing technologies – DP’s HTHP multi-fuel solution has been well recognized by strategic investors in China since 2006 and with more than 34% market share, DP’s technology will continue to play a key role during the next phase of development.
Following successful projects in Anhui province, Everbright has expanded its portfolio to South China, where large amounts of agricultural straws are available for biomass energy. The latest 3 projects are located in Hubei, Henan and Jiangxi, which are provinces with significant biomass supply. DP CleanTech’s advanced solutions have been tailored for the complex fuel conditions found in China, and collaboration with leading companies such as Everbright International has further strengthened DP’s expertise and research base. Designed fuels include corn straw, rice straw, wheat straw, rice husk, forestry wastes and construction wastes. Aside from the typical 30MW biomass China-model solution, DP is now also able to provide high efficiency gasification solutions.
