Our Global Engineering Services have been established in Denmark since 2013, with a remit to drive project engineering integration across our global platform, and to advance our IP and know how in new products, designs and fuels for deployment.  
 
Job Description
As part of our engineering team working with the mechanical design and engineering for our energy plants you will be integrated in the project teams, which consists of team members located in our offices in Denmark, Thailand, China, Poland, UK, and South Africa. 
 
Technically, the work relates to our boiler plants and the related equipment such as fuel feeding, slag systems, conveyors, dampers, cleaning systems, hydraulic systems, compressor systems, etc. 
 
The position involves a large variety of engineering tasks and involvement in projects from the basic design phase to hand-over of the plant to an operator. Examples are preparation of technical specifications including sizing and design of various components, selecting suppliers in close cooperation with the procurement group, technical expediting to secure that suppliers’ deliveries are in line with specifications and coordinated with the other engineering disciplines (process, electrical, boiler, and layout/piping), prepare functional descriptions, and engineering support for commissioning. 
The work is done in collaboration with project managers, procurement managers as well as engineers from other disciplines. 
 
Our solutions are tailored to suit the individual client’s specific requirements such as the type of biomass and other waste streams, plant capacity etc. Working with process and conceptual boiler design you will take part in the development of such solutions and the general optimization of our processes and products.

DP proprietary designs include a fuel transportation system, conveying fuel from the yard and feeding into the biomass or waste boiler for combustion, and a water-cooled vibration grate. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will oversee the technical specifications and design of machine products to optimize boiler performance for different fuel conditions throughout the sales phase through to commissioning. The Engineer will also contribute to ongoing product design and development, with support from external freelancers as required. 
 
Qualifications and Skills 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with mechanical engineering for energy plants or larger process plants, cement plants or similar. 
  • Willingness and ability to take on a technical leadership role in the project execution and in the handling of suppliers.
  • Proficient in using MS office and Autocad and willingness to learn/adapt to a wide range of engineering design tools. Experience with 3D tools such as Navis and/or E3D/PDMS/Inventor is an advantage.
  • English language skills and motivation to work with colleagues across the globe. 
  • Formal Engineering education

Working at DP CleanTech
Globally, DP has around 100 employees. In Copenhagen, we have 5 employees and are intending to grow. You will report to the Director in our Danish office (who is also the Global Head of Engineering) and your workplace will be in Herlev. In our small Danish office, we keep an open, informal, and friendly atmosphere, where we support each other. Everyday work is characterized by working closely with colleagues in our offices abroad in an equally friendly and informal environment. As a company, we use Teams extensively for everyday communication.  
 
As a relatively small company it is easy to see the difference you bring to the projects. It also means a high degree of variation in the tasks and area of responsibility can be quite broad.
