Bloomberg News Featuring DP CleanTech in Thailand

Recently DP Senior Vice President Jan Graeff was interviewed by Bloomberg News to talk about the opportunities he sees for renewable biomass energy in Thailand.

Currently Thailand derives just 5% of its power from renewable sources, but the country is targeting to increase this to 25% of total output by 2021, saving the country more than USD17.6 billion on imported oil.

DP Cleantech’s advanced EcoSpecialist biomass combustion technology is being used in a groundbreaking project in Mahachai, Samut Sakhorn Province, to efficiently convert coconut waste into clean energy. This is just one of the many opportunities that are emerging for the utilization of agricultural waste, and increasingly, municipal solid waste in Thailand to help the country achieve energy security through renewable, environmentally responsible power generation.
