DP CleanTech Provides China Electronic System Engineering Corporation (CESEC) with Latest Optimised Solution for its 1st Biomass Project in Hebei, China

In the last 6 months, the biomass market in China has been responding to direct and positive Chinese government policies to address environmental issues.  DP has worked with existing and potential clients to develop strategic plans for their new projects, using DP’s  most advanced and optimised technologies for renewable biomass energy.   A prime example of this is the recent cooperation and collaboration agreement signed between DP and CESEC.  The first project contract arising from this agreement was signed on 17th July 2016 and represents CESEC’s first venture into the biomass power industry.

Based on the contract, DP is to provide its most  upgraded biomass solution to CESEC, including the fuel handling & feeding systems. The 30MW project will be located in Anping County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province.  Hebei is within the targeted JJJ region – a regional zone which has been government- prioritised for improvements in environmental pollution.  The Anping plant will be the 6th reference project for DP in Hebei province, and DP’s 57th project in China.

The main fuel types for the Anping plant will be corn straw (60%), corn cobs (20%) and waste fruitwood branches (20%).  As the world’s leading biomass solution provider, DP understands that fuel flexibility and plant availability are key factors in  project profitability;  and has been working continuously with clients on optimising fuel-flexible solutions which can also simultaneously mitigate corrosion and NOx emissions.

After completion, Anping will provide both electricity and heat - through the daily generation of 100 tons of industrial steam - to the surrounding area . Earlier this year, biomass CHP projects were officially advocated by China’s National Energy Administration (NEA)  as one of the most efficient measures to combat JJJ air pollution. As the leading provider of biomass energy solutions, DP CleanTech will continue working with key clients in China to profitably meet the environmental improvement targets.

Founded in 2004, DP CleanTech designs, engineers, manufactures and commissions biomass and waste to energy power plants, providing complete solutions for turning waste materials into clean energy. DP CleanTech’s high pressure, high temperature technology was originally developed in Denmark and is behind over 80 biomass power plants around the world.  DP CleanTech built the first biomass power plant in China and is responsible for over 30% of the biomass power plants operating in China today. With an increasingly strong presence in Asia, Africa and South America, DP continues to lead the industry with pioneering new products and initiatives for continuous improvement.
