The milestone hydraulic test for DPCT/Shaoneng Xinfeng biomass energy project was successfully completed on 8th December 2016. The hydraulic test marks the completion of the boiler and piping system installation, and ensures the correct basis for operation.
The Xinfeng project, located in Guangdong, China, is the second biomass energy project between DPCT and Guangdong Shaoneng Group. This 2x30MWe project consists 2x130tph biomass energy boiler islands, utilizing DP CleanTech’s “High Pressure, High Temperature Integrated Biomass Combustion” solution. The onsite work started in March 2016 with both boiler islands being installed simultaneously.
The design fuel for the Xinfeng project is agricultural and wood waste. This 2x30MWe clean energy plant will be capable of processing 500,000 tons of biomass waste as fuel per year with an annual power output of 480MKW.h. This is equivalent to burning around 160,000 tons of standard coal.
