CESEC’s Anping project is successfully connected to the grid

The Anping biomass project in Hengshui City, Hebei province is the first project between DP and CESEC, and DP’s 57th project in China. Hebei province has abundant biomass feedstock, making it a natural location for biomass power plants. At the same time, the province’s high pollution levels have been targeted by the government for improvement. Coal fired plants and polluting industries are being phased out, and strict environmental regulations applied by the provincial and central government. DP’s advanced 130tph biomass “HTHP” solution uses local agricultural waste to generate green power and heat. The local community benefits from additional income; a cleaner environment and a stable source of clean energy.

The plant will consume approximately 427,000 tons of agricultural waste - corn straw, corn cob and fruitwood branches - per year. This will replace approximately 200,000 tons of standard coal and reduce the CO2 emissions by about 520,000 tons.

The Anping plant was successfully connected to the grid on 12th August 2017 and is now in the commissioning stage. Once the 72+24 hours trial run of the boiler equipment has been completed, the plant will meet all the requirements for commercial operation.
