"I am proud to contribute towards sustainable development in China and to promote renewable energies in developing countries."
Introduction to DP CleanTech
“I started working for DPCleanTech while completing my post masters thesis. While working on my topic “Characterization of South East Asian biomass fuels”, I was able to combine academic theory with my operational experience at DP CleanTech. During my 6 months I not only excelled in my academic work but I also prepared myself, technically for my future work.”
Role
“From an early stage I was entrusted with the responsibility of looking after potential clients from all over the world, I currently sell biomass solutions in Central Asia, South East Asia and Africa. This gives me the opportunity to take monthly business trips to Thailand, Africa as well as other countries where I can discover new cultures and learn to adapt my western habits to local customs. Even when working in China, I am in contact with not only my Chinese and Malaysian colleagues but also African, Pakistani and Thai clients who periodically visit our power plants. I also communicate regularly with the European side of the company based in Denmark which makes my experience in DPCleanTech a real fusion of cultures.”
Motivation
“After my studies, I realized that it was my responsibility as an engineer to act for a better world. I turned my interest to China and its environmental concerns because I believe the direction of China’s development will be important in ascertaining a sustainable future. Through my work at DPCleanTech, I am proud to contribute towards sustainable development in China and to promote renewable energies in developing countries.”
Dynamic culture
“DPCleanTech is a young multi-cultural company, evolving with the rapidly growing global renewable energy industry. The vibrant environment frequently provides me with new clients and new projects. Things are constantly changing around me and it brings excitement and variety to my work."
Building a career
“For me this job is a real opportunity to build up my carrier. It is very intense and I’m acquiring an international experience very rapidly. I consider it a springboard for my future. DPCleanTech is a growing company, already a world leader in biomass combustion and I believe it is destined for even greater expansion. I am very proud to work for such a company.”
“I am proud to be able to contribute to the development of clean energy in my country.”
Career path
“Before joining DP CleanTech I had accumulated 20 years of experience in heat engineering including 6 years at Harbin Boiler Company specializing in thermo-power plant boiler design and engineering. I subsequently decided to turn my attention to biomass and decided to join DPCT as an Engineer in August 2004, I found the work challenging but rewarding and before long I was taking on significant responsibility as a technical manager leading a dynamic team in improving current boiler designs."
Role
“Today my main role is to advance DPCT’s direct combustion of biomass technology. As Deputy Chief Engineer, I am able to make key decisions in the design and development of new boiler systems, I deal with top professionals in the industry on a day to day basis and am responsible for communicating our advanced technology to potential clients.”
Making a difference
“I find my work immensely rewarding, I feel we as a company are highly motivated and making major advances in the power industry and I am proud to be able to contribute to the development of clean energy in my country.”
Aspirations
“I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead in the innovation of new more advanced boilers and the development of our custom tailored solutions. I believe it won’t be long before we fulfill our mission in becoming a world leader in renewable energy."
“We know a lot about what we do and take a keen interest in our work. That's what makes us different, and it's something that I personally find very important.”
Introduction to DP CleanTech
”As a DP Clean Tech Service Engineer I perform service tasks of all sizes. It's my job to keep in close contact with our customers and suppliers throughout the process. I also perform boiler pressure parts status assessments in cooperation with the customer where we decide together what measures need to be taken and what improvements we can make to deliver stable operation.
My colleagues are all very enterprising people – we know a lot about what we do and take a keen interest in our work. That's what makes us different, and it's something that I personally find very important.”
“I've been able to continue to develop my energy technology skills and build on my core competencies in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.”
Introduction to DP CleanTech
"Since graduating in 2004 with a master's degree in Energy Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark I've worked as a process engineer for DP Clean Tech Europe A/S. I've been able to continue to develop my energy technology skills and build on my core competencies in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
My job is to perform process-technical analyses and evaluations of biomass fired power plant boilers and components. I also carry out computerised calculations and functional descriptions of boiler plants as well as follow up visits at power plants where I collect operational data in order to assess the potential for further boiler developments and improvements.”
“I really enjoy my work, especially the technical challenges involved.”
Introduction to DP CleanTech
“I really enjoy my work, especially the technical challenges involved. It's been a great experience for me to join an organisation with so many highly-skilled and experienced staff who've been in the business for so long. I'm proud of our product as I feel that biomass is a resource that will become ever more important as sustainable and renewable energy supply technologies come to the fore.
I head up DP Clean Tech's boiler pressure part energy optimisation design and construction division and it's my job to help our team of technicians and engineers to function as a dynamic unit and design boiler plants and energy optimisation products.
In order to maintain and develop an effective work and know-how platform, it's important to ensure that we work in an inspiring and open environment in which novel ideas can flourish at the same time as the individual works in a targeted and efficient fashion.
As regards service tasks, the best solutions come from observing the customer's needs and listening to what they have to say. That's the framework we use to create optimal solutions in all the projects we work on.
Our team slogan is: KIS - Keep It Simple - in biomass and waste boilers the simplest solution is often the best one.”
