Hopper Feeding System and Input Of Fuel

DP CleanTech uses a Hopper feeding system (left) and specialised input of fuel system (bottom) to deliver difficult waste fuels to the boiler efficiently and reliably.

Improved availability: The hopper is fully equipped with water cooled walls and a damper in case of fires. The input fuel is water cooled on all sides, dustproof and equipped for the event of backfires.

Improved efficiency: Hydraulically driven single or multi-part pushers are used to move the fuel onto the grate, where it is ignited and dried out. The station times, stroke length and stroke speed are governed by the combustion control, ensuring an optimal combustion process.

Improved fuel flexibility: The system allows very large and bulky fuel to be spread onto the combustion grate.

Step Grate

SFA’s step grate is the only completely flat combustion grate in the world.

Improved fuel flexibility: Although capable of low density high calorific fuels like wheat straw, the step grate is an extremely efficient combustion platform and ideally handles more difficult fuels like waste wood, peat and municipal solid waste. The step grate is even able to handle metals with low melting points such as aluminum (tin foil, bear cans, etc.) or zinc (galvanized nails, etc.) which may cause problems for the vibration grate.

Improved availability: The patented water cooled grate plates are used for problematic fuels with a calorific value greater than 12 MJ/kg, which allows our customers to enjoy extended grate lifetimes.

Improved efficiency: The combustion grate consists of fixed and moveable grate plate rows. The moveable grate plates move the fuel through the combustion chamber to the dropping angle and thereby provide a good burnout quality.

High Pressure High Temperature Boiler

DP CleanTech has developed its own specific boiler technology to serve the rapidly growing waste to energy market. The technology is based on high pressure and high temperature technology and easily adapts to many forms of process residue.

Improved availability: The compounds present in MSW cover a large proportion of the periodic table therefore and therefore suitable measures must be implemented to account for their characteristics under combustion. DP CleanTech’s waste to energy boilers use refractory materials and inconel cladding to avoid any corrosion resulting from the combustion process.

Improved efficiency: DP CleanTech implements measures to recover heat wherever possible and maximize thermal efficiency. A low outlet flue gas temperature (120-130 C) and efficient combustion result in higher boiler efficiencies (90%-92%).

Condensing scrubber:

Woody fuels tend to have higher moisture contents and therefore offer opportunities for further recovery of heat through flue gas condensation. In suitable circumstances our condensing scrubber has boosted boiler efficiencies to 101%.
